Editorial policy

The standards that govern every page on WorldFreightHub — independence, accuracy, honesty and accountability.

TL;DR: The editorial policy is independence and correction: 0 providers pay for placement, and confidence labels are never up-sold. Every error is corrected through a 3-step visible trail — report, check against the source, then correct and re-label. Sponsored listings remain at 0, so no paid entry can outrank a verified listing.

Editorial independence

WorldFreightHub is an information resource, not a freight forwarder, and does not sell freight services. Content decisions are not influenced by any carrier, forwarder or advertiser: we do not recommend a provider because it pays us, and we do not soften a fact because it is inconvenient. The directory lists providers on a verification-first basis — a listing is marked "verified" only on the evidence, never on payment.

Accuracy and sourcing

  • Every fact is traceable. Rates, duty, VAT and transit figures are tied to a primary source — a port authority, customs authority, carrier or official registry — and carry a confidence level.
  • No fabricated data. We never invent a rate, a transit time, a review or a rating. A figure that cannot be sourced is labelled LOW confidence and flagged "verify before relying", or withheld entirely.
  • Estimates are labelled. Anything that is an estimate rather than a confirmed fact is marked as such, with the confidence level visible on the page.

Corrections

Freight rules change — VAT rates are revised, de minimis thresholds move, and port details go out of date. When an error or an outdated figure is found, it is corrected and the correction is traceable through the page's last-updated marker. To report an issue:

  1. Go to the contact page and describe the error.
  2. Include the page URL and, where possible, the correct figure and its source.
  3. The entry is checked against the source; if it is wrong, it is corrected and re-labelled.

Disclosure

  • Sponsored placements are labelled. If a directory listing is a paid placement, it is always marked "sponsored" and is held to the same accuracy standard as every other listing.
  • Self-reported claims are labelled. Statements that come from a provider or a marketplace listing are marked "self-reported" and are not presented as independently verified.
  • No affiliate steering. The site does not receive commission for routing a quote request, and the get-quote form is obligation-free for the user.

Update cadence

Data is refreshed when a primary source changes — for example, a revised VAT rate or a new customs rule. Rates and transit times, which move constantly, are deliberately published as labelled estimates rather than fixed values, and each page carries a last-updated marker so you can see how current a figure is.
